With a three act structure based on a popular Latin American joke tradition (similar to the knock-knock joke), What’s the Name of the Play? adopts minimalist film practices in order to comment ironically on the frustration that people with little knowledge of contemporary artistic practices may feel when confronted by works that question commonly accepted ideas of what is and is not art.
What’s the Name of the Play? won 1st Prize at the 6th Panama Art Biennial.
